Lead poisoning is 100% preventable. Yet, more children are poisoned each year and lead is still mined from the earth. The Fall 2006 Synthesis/Regeneration (No. 41) on "Lead: The Poisoning Continues" explores the background to childhood lead poisoning, current efforts to combat it, and how those efforts could be undermined by government and industry.

A special section documents threats to public health from hospitals, medical research and biotechnology. This issue of S/R also explores crises in the Middle East and schemes for geopolitical domination.
