Dear Green or greenish friend,

"The 1980s and 1990s saw the building of an elaborate regime of trade" as exemplified in NAFTA, GATT and the WTO. What lagged behind was a system of violence to enforce the trade dogma. The Bush regime prepares these institutions of violence during "a time similar to the Scramble for Africa in the late 19th century when European armies could attack poorly armed peoples, slaughtering and conquering them with almost no losses."

These two arguments set the stage for the conclusion by Midnight Notes that "the antiwar movement should speak to the Desires and Hopes of the people of the US, from universal healthcare to a healthy environment." The focus of Synthesis/Regeneration 30 (S/R), "Mobilizing Against War," includes documentation of the planned destruction of Iraq, discussion of introducing people to the politics of protest, and analysis of perspectives within the peace movement.

S/R 30 reports further attacks on Greens and shows that the repression can be successfully resisted. Economic analyses look at US efforts to dominate India, anti- globalization resistance in the US and South America, and the inevitable collapse of the suburban-petroleum lifestyle.

S/R 30 explores biological consequences of endless war for plunder, including the US government's role in bioterrorism, nuclear terrorrism, toxic waste terrorism and genetic terrorism, as well as the promise of organic agriculture.

Rates for S/R 30 are:

1-4 copies, $3.95 each;
