Environmental Racism: Incineration in North St. Louis, Wednesday eve, May 3, 2000
Panelists will explain health dangers which the Stericycle medical waste incinerator poses to the mixed race neighborhood which surrounds it. Questions, answers and a strategy discussion will follow.
Speakers:
Daniel Berg, a fourth year medical student at Washington University, is on the Board of Directors of the Coalition for the Environment.
Fred Striley, representing the Green Party of St. Louis/Gateway Green Alliance, is a veteran organizer against the Times Beach incinerator in St. Louis County.
Tracy Easthope, Environmental Director of the Ecology Center in Ann Arbor, MI, has successfully fought medical waste incineration.
