depiction of our holistic approach
We categorized our platform into issue areas in order to
define the major concerns of our state. We recognize the
limitations of this approach and realize that none of these
issues can be understood or addressed in isolation from
other issues. Everything is connected and actions taken to
solve one set of problems affects all the others, often in
unanticipated ways. Because of this interrelationship,
there are many overlaps in our statements. We are striving
for holistic, ecological solutions and this perspective is
central to our vision.
This platform was developed by party members at meetings
in Columbia and Kansas City, and ratified at the Kansas City
convention of March 14-15, 1992. This platform is open for
continuing revision and improvement. If you would like to
