The Progressive Party of Missouri (PPM) was formed on June 24, 2001, and was quickly recognized by the Green Party of the United States (GP-US).

The Missouri Green Party challenged PPM's filing with GP-US, and filed its own request for affiliation. The domain names mogreens.org and gatewaygreens.org belonged to Gateway Green Alliance but they let them get scalped. Missouri Green Party apparently no longer exists.

• St. Louis Gateway Green Alliance. This large, successful local held a significant fraction of the votes in the G/GPUSA Congress. The Greens/Green Party USA stopped doing business as a political party years ago.
