DuPage County is going green!

The DuPage County Green Party (DCGP) was formed in 2002 and is quickly becoming the third largest political party in the county.  In 2006, the DCGP and the College of DuPage Campus Greens campaigned extensively for Rich Whitney's Illinois Green gubernatorial candidacy.  As a result of our efforts (and those of Greens around the state), Whitney received roughly 10.3% of the vote, easily surpassing the 5% threshold for "established party" status.

The DCGP has focused their work most recently on fighting election fraud in DuPage County.  Co-Chairperson Steve Alesch garnered much attention for the party, publishing a report not long after the 2006 general election detailing numerous voting irregularities that occurred during and after election day.  The ten page report, FOIA request, and DCEC denial of the DCGP's FOIA request are available on the Elections page.

The DCGP holds monthly meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.  We invite you to compare the positions of the Democratic, Green, and Republican parties.
