GREEN PARTY NATIONAL WOMEN'S CAUCUS
ENDORSES RAEVOGELER FOR U.S. SENATE,
WISCONSIN

Vogeler Prioritizes People's Rights in her Campaign

WASHINGTON, D.C. --

The National Women's Caucus of the Green Party of the
United States has announced it's endorsement of Rae
Vogeler, Green candidate for U.S. Senate, Wisconsin.

"Rae Vogeler is a candidate that Wisconsin voters can
support enthusiastically," said Ruth Weill, Co-Chair of the
Wisconsin Green Party. "Rae stands for issues that
women and Greens support including universal health
care, women's Equal Rights Amendment, and renewable
clean energy."

Rae Vogeler is a working mother, community activist
and peace organizer. Vogeler attended all of the
national organizing conferences on Iraq, the national
assemblies of United for Peace and Justice, and was
cofounder of Madison Area Peace Coalition. Citing her
long time activism in peace and justice, the Wisconsin
Green Party asked Vogeler to run against Herb Kohl,
one of the richest U.S. Senators, second only to John
Kerry, MA. The Wisconsin Green Party have invested in
Rae Vogeler's candidacy with Greens across the state
pitching to help her pay for child care while she is
campaigning.

Vogeler's campaign is a family affair and has been
active for over a year, securing the endorsement
of the Wisconsin Green Party at their Fall Gathering,
2005. Earlier this year, her website, run by her husband,
was named "Site of the Day" by Politics1.com.
Vogeler recently received the endorsement of
Progressive Dane, a progressive political organization
in Dane County, Wisconsin. Vogeler also carries the
endorsement of Progressive Democrats of Wisconsin.

While the incumbent, Herb Kohl, is paying someone to
make his next campaign commercial, Wisconsin Greens
are helping Rae pay for daycare while she campaigns.

Rae Vogeler has been a truck driver, a factory worker,
a nurses aide and a waitress. She is a freelance
technical writer and a full time mother and activist.
She has been an activist for women's rights and
reproductive rights for 30 years. She has been an
activist for environmental issues since working with
the Milwaukee Greens in the 1980s and 90s. She has
been a peace activist her entire life.
