This data was extracted from the Green Party Election Results Page administered by Mike Feinstein. As of August 1, 2006 he listed 322 state and local races with Green candidates in 2006. I left the name of each state and the number of candidates they were running at that time, noting how many are women candidates. Below the state names, I listed which of those candidates are women. There appears to be 77 women running, or just under 25% of the listed candidates. (In some cases I did not know gender of candidate and have indicated that in italics--if you know, please let me know.) If there was a listed website for that candidate, I included a link to it from the candidates name. Members of the National Women's Caucus are in bold.
As of August 26, I see 372 races with 93 women candidates, bringing us up to 25%. Please let me know of any corrections or additions...particularly if women who don't currently have websites, put up a website. More candidates will probably file in the next month or so for the November election.
