You can enter the art show with your edible art for $25.00 (for individuals) or $50.00 (for restaurants), come view the art for free or buy a ticket for $10.00 to help us eat it. All artists may choose to have their work photographed for print sales.GreenFest at One Love -- Let's Party! Athens, Georgia, Saturday, October 9th, 1999 at the One Love Club on Broad street in downtown Athens, next to the UGa campus. Come enjoy an eclectic line-up of musicians starting with a family program from 12:00 noon till 3:00pm featuring the Sunny Side Up Band, seed planting, mural painting and a maypole dance. Confirmed so far for the afternoon is the blues, jazz, folk rock band, Alien Child and wrapping up the evening are the reggae sounds of Jikki and the Stonefish Posse. Also on tap (but not yet confirmed) is Celtic, acoustic, blues and other performers. Local businesses are invited to co-sponsor this event with a $25.00 contribution. Ticket are $8.00 in advance, $10.00 at the door and allow you to come and go all day. Between the bands, we'llhear from speakers including: Party Chairman, Reverend Zack Lyde who will join us from Brunswick Georgia to speak at 8:15 pm, Michael Collins (Athens community activist), Kerrie Dickson (1998 Green candidate for Labor Commissioner of Georgia), Hugh Esco (chair, the Voters Choice Coalition, 1998 Green candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia), Denise Freeman (Candidate for the U.S. Congress in 2000, Ga-10th), Tara Harned (Students for Environmental Action), Bob Ross (local organic grower), Bill Sheehan (Grassroots Recycling Network), and ; not yet confirmed are: Amy Belanger (Earth Day Network) and others.This event has been co-sponsored already by: Please let them know you appreciate their
